The Fruits Of Our Labor

Last month I posted a Works-for-Me Wednesday post about this nifty little gagdet.

The Knifty Knitter
.

Since Shannon is taking a Thanksgiving break (yay!) and isn't having WFMW today (awww!), I thought I'd share a picture of the fruits of our labor with the Knifty Knitter. I enlisted the help of my daughters and these are the scarves we took to our crafts exchange.

They were a very popular items at the crafts exchange. Sweetanlo even decided to make the scarves she's making as Christmas presents for her friends THIS way instead of the "real" way. Smart girl.

Those are beautiful. Where does one buy a Knifty Knitter? My seven-year-old is not quite ready to knit, but could really do that I think.

Those are nice! What a cool idea for Sweetanlo to give as presents for her friends! Knit stuff is very in this year!

If you have access to a Michael's Crafts Store or a Hobby Lobby you can get them there - both the round looms for hats and the rectangles for scarves and other things. If not, I found a few online:

Children’s Knitting Board - A really good size for a smaller person. Don’t forget to buy a “tool” since it isn’t included with the loom.

Or google "rake knitting" for other options. There are several types for sale on Ebay too.

Keep in mind if you get her a longer one that she doesn't have to go over the entire length of the loom. It's easy to choose how long to go. Some of our scarves were only 4 stitches or pegs across and some were 15.

Wow that's quite a pile of beautiful scarves! So glad it was a big hit at the craft fair!

Very cool! :) What a neat little tool - I'll have to see if I can find one.

The scarves all look great. :)

Thanks! It's hard to get stuff shipped to Canada but I do live reasonably close to a Michael's - she'll love it!

They are so pretty! They make me want to go out and find a few inches of snow to get bundled up for and go for a walk in!
I wonder if I could get them (shipped)over here?
