Photo Hunters - Clean

This week the Photo Hunters theme was, "clean."

As a follower of Jesus, this weekend has special significance to me. His death and resurrection have brought a new meaning of the word "clean" to my life.

The Hunt - Clean

This is where I learned about what it truly means to be clean.

Create in me a clean heart, O God,
And renew a steadfast spirit within me.

Psalm 51:10 (New American Standard Bible)

Nothing but the Blood
by Robert Lowry

What can wash away my sin?
Nothing but the blood of Jesus.
What can make me whole again?
Nothing but the blood of Jesus.

O precious is the flow
that makes me white as snow;
no other fount I know;
nothing but the blood of Jesus.

For my pardon this I see:
nothing but the blood of Jesus.
For my cleansing this my plea:
nothing but the blood of Jesus.

Nothing can for sin atone:
nothing but the blood of Jesus.
Naught of good that I have done:
nothing but the blood of Jesus.

This is all my hope and peace:
nothing but the blood of Jesus.
This is all my righteousness:
nothing but the blood of Jesus.

Great choice for the theme. I thought something along the same lines but couldn't think of how to express my thoughts of this weekend. Your post reminded me, in times of decision simply turn to God's Word.

I used a similar idea for the theme and almost posted that song! I am glad you did. I am so glad He provided a way for us to be clean.

Great choice for today. I was thinking also that the theme this week is coincidental to washing us white as snow...
Happy Easter!

Dictated by 6 year old Ellie a Photo Hunter Participant:

I have a Bible too. I can read it myself. My favorite story is Joseph and his beautiful coat.

This is the perfect post for the theme and the season. Christ indeed did pay the price so that we might be clean and able to have fellowship with God. Easter was the whole reason for Christmas. Have a blessed Easter.
