Photo Hunters theme for this week was "rare." I've been thinking about this for two weeks and was truly uninspired until I came home with some left-overs from dinner out with my dad. My dad likes his steak rare. This is what it looked like when I brought it home, practically "mooing" as far as I was concerned.
The Hunt - Rare
I had to actually COOK it before eating any of us would eat it. Once it wasn't so "rare" anymore, we all thought it made a delicious dinner.
TNChick is sick this week. If you're so inclined, please keep her in your prayers.

That idea did cross my mind too! But I love rare beef. I've spent so much time in France I've come round to a lot of things I never thought I would ...
That is rare! Being a cat, I like my meat rare, but my humans like it a little more cooked.
Thanks for visiting. :)
That is a rare piece of meat! But the cooked dish looks so yummy!
I don't like my beef as WELL DONE as my hubby (rubber, really, it has the texture of rubber), BUT I could NEVER eat it as raw as it looks in that photo!
I am not happy if I stick my fork in my beef and it "mooooo"s. Disturbing, in my opinion, haha. I don't like blood running from it either. Cook mine, please.
Everyone is invited over to see my "rare" post too. Hope to see you there.
I like my beef almost rare- but, this?.
Nice photo for the theme.
LOL..that made me smile! Great take on the theme I would have never thought of!
Awesome choice for the hunt .. :) I like mine a little more cooked medium/rare .. :) Cheers!
Pretty gross! I don't know anyone that eats their's rare!
The steak is too rare for me as well - but your salad looks perfect!
I don't mind pink meat but that roast does look a little more pink than I like! lol We had one neighbour who would come over for a bbq and he liked his steak grilled for one minute on each side...ugh! Might as well give it to him raw!! Have a wonderful weekend:-)
My husband loves eating steak. He prefers it medium rare but I'm not fond of steak. Whenever I eat it though, I like it well done. Funny, whenever my husband cooks steaks, I only hit a small piece but I enjoy eating the side dishes (usually mashed potatoes, string beans, corn and carrots) with gusto. :)
Thanks for visiting my photo hunt earlier.
it is a culture thingy i think.Asians take less red meat, more fish and carb and veg.
LOL! Perfect pic for the topic. I'm with you, the second pic is so much more appealing to my tastes, but my daughter loves her steak rare.
I like rare meat but this is a bit much... I guess I am a rare, not raw fan! That salad looks good.
Rare indeed, good thinking, but not good eating ;-)
*giggles*
i'll take mine medium-well... thankyouverymuch :-)
Wow, it's so rare that it looks almost raw! ;) Great shot!
ok the mooing part just cracked me up a bit... Looks delicious in the end! thanks for stopping by!
That looks fabulous...Except I like bleeding meat..:))
Well steak tartare is as rare as it gets and that's a great delicacy costing big bucks in a restaurant.
mmm, you got me hungry there! Although that steak looks a little too rare for me, I like my steak a little rare, but not still mooing hehe... good one. Happy Hunting!
I DO NOT like meat rare..I prefer mine cooked too!! Mine is up too but I picked a different direction for the word this time. Visit and see. Sandy
I hardly eat rare food. But that 2nd photo is quite delicious.
Thanks for the visit.
I like my meat well done too.
The salad, what a yummy picture. I am hungry just looking at it.
What a great idea for rare. I never thought of that. We don't anything rare either.
Thank you for stopping by and leaving a message. Things have been fine. I sub in school libraries and have been working a lot lately.
Have a nice weekend,
Biker Betty :)
Well done for me, pleez :)
Thanks for stopping by mine :)
That looks so good. I wish you would share the recipe because I need to learn how to cook and that looks doable for somebody like me!
