Photo Hunters - Steps

I was looking for picture of "steps" for the week's Photo Hunters. I wanted to drive to Santa Fe to take a picture of the Laredo Staircase. But alas, it wasn't a good day for a road trip (and there wasn't food involved.) So as I was trying to think of some other good steps these came to mind.

The Hunt - Steps

This is the staircase at our cabin during last summer's family reunion.

But I like this picture of these steps even better. I know that it's not the best picture but it's precious to me. Here is my 17 year old nephew playing with his cousin, my Shorty, by sliding like a madman down the steps over and over again. He's an amazingly sweet young man.

Step over to TNChick's for her take on the theme.

Steps are fun!! I still remember being very young and bouncing down them on my bottom...

I remember sliding down steps as a kid. Not sure what would happen if I were to try it now, though! :-)

I used to slide down the steps on purpose when I was younger. These days it's always an accident, LOL.

Great photo!

I used to own a home with steps similar to this... my cats really miss it. I don't miss having to vacuum them from the bottom up and the top down. Such a pain!

The Laredo steps are awesome, just beautiful, but the family step photo is heart warming, the best use of steps.

wonderful staircase -- compared to that our summer cabins are like shacks!

He, he that's nice you have a private "step" chute in your house ! They look as if they had a lot of fun !
Thanks for your compliment of my header picture, but I am not yet satisfied it seems so big to me, but yesterday I had no time anymore so I just left it. But today it's sunday so I will have more time and I love to do it !!

Great idea! That second picture reminds me of olden days, when I did the same thing with my younger cousins. Great idea.

Those are lovely pictures. It's especially good to see a teenager who isn't too "grown up" to play with the little ones.

I love your "steps" photos - the second one especially. It's the reason steps were invented.

Thanks for sharing these nice photos. I remember when I was young, my cousins and I would stay on the stairs during family get togethers talking and playing while the adults played mahjong.
