The Photo Hunters theme of the week was "plastic."
Remember these old toys? Lite-Brite
You poke the plastic pieces through the black paper and the light from behind creates a beautiful picture. I had one when I was a kid. I can even remember the tune of the jingle from the commercial..."Lite-Brite, makin' things with light. Outta sight, makin' things with Lite-Brite." Hasbro has made an updated version but I found this original version at a garage sale and picked it up for my kids. They love playing with it as much as I did.

Never saw this creative toy! It must be fun making this kind of thing. The kids did have these beads that needed ironing when finished but then you just have the shape in many coloured beads.
What a fun toy and great shot.
That's a toy I played with, and we have a new one, too. It is loads of plastic fun!
Oh goodness,... do you also remember having to pick all those pieces up,.. and for days, still find pieces you missed! Great choice for this weeks post.
I remember that toy, it was a lot of fun. Happy memorial day weekend and thanks for the birthday tweet!
awww I loved that toy! I got more kicks out of it that my boys did, thats for sure! And yes, those pieces would magically appear, like when Nana stepped on one in the shag carpet! lol..Thanks for visiting my hunt today sweetie! I always appreciate your visits
Oh, yes, I remember that!!! It's been ages since I've seen one, though.

We love our lite brite around here. Creative take on the topic!
I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU STILL HAVE SO MANY PEGS!
I only have three kids and we have NO pegs left ANYWHERE!
This is such a touchstone of my childhood! Sadly, it's something that's been mostly lost in this age of the Internet.
I love how you captured the glow. I probably would have blown the highlights had I tried to get a photo like this!
