Photo Hunters - Architecture

The theme for the Photo Hunters this week was "architecture." This one was a little tough for me. I thought about driving to another city to get a picture of a place that was built hundreds of years ago and is particularly unique to our state. But I concluded that I would eat in order to get a photo for The Hunt, but driving a couple of hours to get a picture of just a building? I don't think so. So I chose something closer to home.

When I think architecture, one of the things that comes to mind is blue-prints.

The Hunt - Architecture

These are the designs for our church's upcoming expansion.

Isn't architecture cool?

One of our neighbors went to the architectural program at Mississippi State, five year program. He is now an architect in Chicago specializing in re-design and restoration of historical buildings there. It is a grueling area of study. How do they do that and figure in all the necessary structural components and get it to the place where a contractor can actually build the thing. Amazing.

Very kool! People that have the skills and abilities to do architectural work amaze me!

Not my strong point but I think it's a really cool field. I think I suffer from that female condition of not being able to see things in spatially or in 3D or something as well as men. And that's the only thing I will admit too! hee hee

I see you have 100 things posted. I'm going to add you to my site on 100 Things about Bloggers! Check it out!

That's what makes architecture possible! Great idea. I admire people who can design a building on paper and then make it work. It's a skill I don't have!

I do love looking at architectural blueprints, so clean and neat! My aunt is an architect and I always thought I wanted to be one, but I don't think I had the talent for it.

It's a great idea. Blue prints are very important in the world of architecture. Amazing how people conceptualize these diagrams.

Thanks for dropping by earlier.

Your profile has definately intrigued me. Where in the land of enchantment are you from? I also live here in the Land of Enchantment and our church is also relocating actually we sold our current church of 20 years and bought another one.

We need to be out of the old by April 1, 2007 and moved into the new by Aprilish.

It has been an experience. Our gifted teens have been giving up their precious weekends to spend time at the new church ripping up carpet and knocking down walls.

The person in charge told us last weekend no more ripping now we are going to try out for the painting part. Oh Goodie!

I am probably more excited about this part because the other part involved giving Teenagers hammers to go break down walls.

Love your pictures :)
