Photo Hunters - Tiny

The Photo Hunters were in search of something "tiny" this week. This one was tough for me. When I think of "tiny" I think microscopic, and I can't take a picture of something like that. I thought about posting a picture of my new Ethiopian daughter because she's pretty tiny to me. But instead I took this photo. These are pysanky eggs. Not done by me. (Don't I wish they were.) The little one is a bantam egg and the pysanky on it really is tiny. I've put it next to a duck egg for comparison.

The Hunt - Tiny

TNChick has been having a rough time of it. Go by and wish her well and see her choice of "tiny." And don't forget to drop for a look at the "tiny" photo at East Coast Life, she's the Photo Hunters "Site of the Week."

I once took a course in making psanky eggs. I made one I was fairly proud of, and wouldn't you know it? Broke it a couple of months ago when we moved...It was about 25 years old. It's a neat technique.

I imagine those eggs must be so fragile, and all the more you must handle them with care because of all the art on it! Beautiful!

Sorry for my late visit. Those are lovely pysanky eggs. I think each one is a great work of art.

Talking about Bantam egg, my husband has several Bantam chickens at the farm. I was amazed first time I saw those cute chickens. I wanted to bring home one for a pet. haha! But I don't think my dog Bruno would have liked that idea at all. :)
