Thematic Photographic - Dusk

I'm at the tail end of Thematic Photographic this week as usual. But I love Carmi's theme of "dusk" so much that I decided not to let this one pass.

Dusk is truly one of my favorite times of day. A peaceful time. The coolness of the day. The muted colors. The amazing sky. Ahhhhh. I just love to take a deep breath and take it all in.

I was going to try to pick a favorite one of these photos but I couldn't. Maybe you'll have a favorite - leave me comment and let me know.

Now I'm off to enjoy my favorite time of day.

You can enjoy dusk anytime of day, here

This set reinforces why I think dusk-themed photography needs more than a week to explore: there's such a broad variation in tone and composition.

These, simply, rock. But if I had to pick one that blows my hair straight back, it would be the third one down. It's like God painted the sky and wanted to make sure we never forgot the moment.

New Mexico sunsets are gorgeous! My grandmother lived in Santa Fe for 25 years, and dusk was my favorite time of day when we visited her: the air cooled from the heat of the day and the colors softened.
The middle photograph is the most spectacular, with the different layers of clouds.

I see that you love the way the tree branches sit dark against the sky at dusk. Me too! We have a large glass window in one of our rooms and I could sit there forever as the sun goes down. Great photos for the theme. Wasn't it a great one?

Everyone one of them is breathtaking! So beautiful!

That grey one almost looks like there is a space ship in the middle of it. ;v)

Fabulous! I love the first, as well as the third... first for the creative twist, third for the attention it demands.

A beautiful set of photos. I love the differences between them all, despite being all being taken at dusk :)
