Photo Hunters - Silver

Tough themes for The Hunt this year. I had to surf around last week to finally come up with something. (Thank you Photo Hunters for a little inspiration!) This week's theme, "silver" I also found challenging. All I could think of for most of the week was my daughter's silver iPod Nano. Luckily something else came to mind. The picture quality is lacking since I had to take a picture of a picture. (the original photo is over ten years old.)

The Hunt - Silver

Technically, he's the TIN Woodsman. But we had to cover him in silver to get him there, right down to spray painting his clothes, shoes, skull cap and funnel using cans and cans of silver spray paint and covering all exposed skin (even his eye lids!) with silver make-up.

I'm sure that the Photo Hunters have come up with lots of great "silver" pictures so check them out! And be sure to stop byTNChick who makes The Hunt possible each week.

Great photo of a photo. :) Those are all wonderful Hallowe'en costumes! That must have been quite a challenge putting on all the silver makeup!

Have a good weekend. :)

Thanks for stopping by.
Wow! Those were great costumes... did he itch from all that silver makeup? My brother was the Cowardly Lion in a summer stock musical production of the Wizard of Oz when he was in high school. His costume was so heavy and hot, Mom had to hang it outside to dry every night. Wonder what the neighbors thought?

Oh! And a very happy 5th birthday to the birthday boy!

What a great photo and what a good sport he is! Did you ever hear that the first tin woodsman had to be hospitalized because of his severe reaction to the makeup? He was very sick!

And he actually let you do that to his mustache, too?!?! That is true acting professionalism! Awesome costumes.

It sure is a creative idea! Photos of photos are often tricky, but that's really a good pic for the theme.
See ya next week!

Perfect post for this weeks theme. The first year at the job I currently am at we did a skit for Christmas, The Wizard of Ods. I was the Cowerdly Lion oh and the person that would not let them in to see the wizard. Thanks for the memories and thanks for visiting mine.

brilliant choice and wonderful costume -- enduring all that silver paint looks like it was well worth it though. Take care.

Yes, Tin Man is silver! I think this is a cool picture. I've never been close enough to a "Tin Man" to take a picture.

Hi,

You asked in my blog (Deep Red Style) where I had moved my SPH photos to. I have a journal now and moved them there so that my photoblog is just photos now.
